From the very first years of independence, radical reform of the education system, improvement of the quality of personnel training at the modern requirements has become a priority of the state policy.
The consistent implementation of tasks set in the decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees and resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers, resolutions and decrees of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education on enhancing the quality of education in higher education institutions, enhancing the effectiveness of personnel training has become an urgent issue. In order to regulate and coordinate these processes, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 12 of January 12, 1999 "On measures to strengthen executive discipline" and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 1/1 of January 25, 1999 " On establishment of the Inspection Inspection ". Based on the experience accumulated in the implementation of the abovementioned decisions, on the basis of the August 29, 2001 Order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education to improve the practical and organizational and scientific-pedagogical activities of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Education" and the implementation of normative-legal acts of higher education an Internal Control and Monitoring Unit was established in all HEIs and related institutions. According to the organizational structure of the Tashkent State Pedagogical University, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan №153 dated May 13, 2016 "On Measures for Further Improvement of Activity of Tashkent State Pedagogical University" was subdivided into Monitoring and Internal Control Unit. Since the establishment of the department's activity, the department has been administered by a number of responsible officers in full compliance with their service duties: 2001-2006 M.Rozigulov, M.Aliev; 2006-2010 B.Kholdorov; 2010-2014 years J.Gulyamov; - O.Tolipov from August 2014.
